Kayak Fishing

Kayak actually refers to the innuit design of an enclosed canopy sea boat, whereas a canoe is a pointed vessel at both ends. Usually however the words appear interchangableand and most are referred to as kayaks. Newer plastic hulled fishing kayaks have recently been designed in many shapes and forms specifically for sea fishing.

Generally the longer and sleeker designs are more suited to sea kayaking, in terms of stability and speed. The Perception Prowlers designs of 13 foot and longer are good, and for the unique foot paddle design Hobie are hard to beat

It's probably debatable whether fish finders catch more fish, but they are certainly useful for defining the sea bed.
